FRACTURA II (Work in Progress — 2026) expands the collective’s research toward lithium extraction in the Lithium Triangle, the Andean region spanning Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia, which holds a significant share of the world’s lithium reserves.

As a key material in the global energy transition, lithium is used in the production of batteries for electronic devices, electric mobility, and data storage technologies. While often presented as a “green” resource, its extraction continues to reproduce extractivist logics, placing increasing pressure on local ecosystems and water resources.

The project unfolds through two complementary lines of work: a field research journey and a performative installation.
