FRACTURA I (2023 — 2026) was inspired by the oil extraction process known as fracking in Argentina. It was developed through a transdisciplinary process combining performative installation, public interventions, and audiovisual research.
The work places the audience within a dystopian ecosystem born from the consequences of extractive capitalism. In a world where natural balance and time itself have collapsed, a new form of life emerges: a hybrid being composed of oil, hydrocarbons, and heavy metals.
Through the intersection of body, sound, image, and light, FRACTURA I creates a choreography of forces in tension between the organic and the artificial, the material and the virtual, proposing collapse as a possible catalyst for new forms of existence.
Between 2023 and 2024, the performative installation was presented in Argentina, Switzerland, and Germany, including at Artlab (Buenos Aires), Pornodiesel (Lausanne), Kapitel Club (Bern), Videoex and Backslash (Zurich), Full of Lava (Bern), Theater X (Berlin), and Adé Indu Festival (Lucerne). In 2024, two long-duration public interventions were also realized in public spaces across Buenos Aires.
The process generated an extensive audiovisual archive that is currently being developed into an experimental moving-image work.
